![]() 김윤수Kim Yun-su is an art critic and aesthetician. Kim graduated from Seoul National University with a masters' in aesthetics before lecturing at his alma mater. He served many positions such as professor at Ewha Womans University and Yeungnam Univeristy, CEO and president and at Changbi Publishers, founding director at Mus?e de Seoul, chairman of the board at Korean People Artist Federation, director at National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and a member of the Modern Cultural Heritage Subcommittee at the Cultural Heritage Administrations. Kim published numerous works of art criticism in art journals and other publications including The Quarterly Changbi. The author of The History of Korean Modern Painting (Hankook ilbosa, 1975), Kim's critical writings include "Art and Alienation," "Introspection on Current Climate of the Art WorldㅡThe Attitude of Artists and Critics," and "The Minjung-ness in Goya's Painting," among others. He translated many books into Korean, among which are The Success and Failure of Picasso by John Berger, A Concise History of Modern Painting by Herbert Read, and Homo Ludens by Johan Huizinga. In 2001, The Way of People, the Way of Art was publishd by Changbi to celebrate Kim's retirement from Yeungnam University and his life-long practice as an art theorist and educator. ![]() ![]() 대표작
